Cookie Notice
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This notice explains what cookies and similar local-storage technologies Azoik uses. We aim to use as few as possible. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics that follow you around the web.
What we set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
token |
Essential | Authenticated session token (JWT). Without it you cannot log in or use the app. | Stored in browser localStorage until you log out. |
theme / theme-overrides |
Functional | Remembers your chosen color theme (light / dark / custom). | Stored in browser localStorage until cleared. |
tz |
Functional | Caches your timezone preference so the app loads with correct date/time formatting. | Stored in browser localStorage until cleared. |
What our third-party providers set (when you use specific features)
Certain pages embed code from third-party services. When you interact with those features, those providers may set their own cookies under their own domains, governed by their own privacy policies — not ours. We list them here so you know who's involved:
| Provider | When it loads | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe Third-party | On the customer-facing pay page (/pay.html) and the staff "Take Payment" modal. |
Required to securely collect card/bank details and prevent payment fraud. Without Stripe's cookies, payments cannot be processed. |
| Google Maps Third-party | Anywhere we render an embedded map (currently: none in production). | Required by Google Maps to render the map tile and handle interactions. |
What we DON'T set
We do not currently use:
- Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Posthog, or any other product analytics
- Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn, or any other advertising / retargeting pixels
- Hotjar, Fullstory, or any other session replay tools
- Marketing automation trackers (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.)
- Cross-site tracking cookies of any kind
If we ever begin using any of the above, this notice will be updated and we will surface a consent banner before such cookies are set on EU/UK visitors.
How to control or remove cookies
Since Azoik primarily uses localStorage rather than traditional browser cookies, the easiest way to clear our data is:
- Log out of Azoik — clears the authenticated session token.
- Clear your browser's storage for azoik.com — every browser has a "Clear site data" option in its developer tools or privacy settings.
- Use Incognito / Private mode — nothing we store persists past the session.
Most web browsers also let you block or delete third-party cookies entirely through their settings. Doing so will prevent Stripe from working — which means payments will fail — so we recommend leaving payment processor cookies enabled while you're paying an invoice, then clearing them after if you'd like.
